The Cedars rehabilitation centre in KZN, located in the rolling hills and scenic farmlands of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands provides the ideal setting for immersion in a programme of recovery. Far from the noise and distraction of city life, gorgeous gardens and breathtaking views surround this stately and fully modernised “home away from home”.
This historic building has experienced many upgrades since its creation over a century ago and was most recently a well-established hotel and country retreat. The estate has been refurbished to accommodate up to 40 patients in a welcoming, comfortable and nurturing environment. Original fireplaces warm the house in the chillier months, and refreshing walks in the outdoors allow for serendipitous encounters with wild horses, buck, hares, and amazing birdlife.

Activities on Offer
Clients have access to a variety of recreational and fitness activities. We offer forest walks, hiking excursions, an onsite swimming pool and gym, and weekly yoga and aerobics classes under the supervision of a qualified instructor. Group football is a fun way to build relationships, and plays or talent shows give clients the opportunity to exercise their creativity with a healthy dose of humour. Weekly games nights are full of laughs. Off-site outings include putt putt and coffee breaks at the nearby village of Nottingham Road.
